ARTISTA

ARTISTA is a program by Imago Theatre, Montreal’s feminist company, a catalyst for conversation and an advocate for gender-inclusive storytelling. ARTISTA was a 15-week mentorship for emerging artists. Each season, we began with a shared dinner, fostering a sense of connection before diving into creative workshops led by experienced mentors and guest artists.

In 2024, I had the privilege of being part of the ARTISTA and created a memoir piece with support from Chelsea Dab Hilke, Espoir Segbeaya, Murdoch Schon, and Adjani Poirier. I grew alongside an amazing group of artists from all over Montreal. We came from different practices and built a small community rooted in creativity, care, and a shared love of storytelling.
